Fossil-free transport

To reduce CO₂ emissions, Flexilast has launched an “Eco surcharge,” which allows you as a customer to choose a renewable and climate-smart transport option through a small additional fee. This way, if your company has ambitious climate goals, you can contribute to making a difference while also sharpening and achieving your environmental objectives!

Here’s how it works – it’s simple!

At Flexilast, we only purchase fuels with a high blend of fossil-free and renewable components such as HVO or RME for our fuel stations. However, our ambition is to gradually increase this share with the goal of reaching at least 50% fossil-free and renewable fuel in our tanks.

When you purchase an Eco surcharge while booking a transport with us, the full amount goes directly towards offsetting the price difference between fossil-free fuel and conventional diesel. In return, we buy the equivalent amount of fossil-free fuel. In this way, the share of fossil-free fuel in our tanks increases, while you fulfill your climate goals and reduce your company’s CO₂ emissions!

If you have large freight volumes with full loads, we can, in most cases, refuel the truck with fossil-free fuel before the transport is carried out. This way, you can be confident that your specific shipment is being delivered with renewable fuel.

What does it cost to go fossil-free?

Just as the price of fossil diesel fluctuates over time, so does the price of fossil-free and renewable alternatives. The current Eco surcharge is therefore a variable surcharge applied on top of the total transport price.

If you have an agreement with Flexilast that includes a variable fuel surcharge and you choose to purchase an Eco surcharge for fossil-free transport, the price of the Eco surcharge will be calculated based on the total transport price including the fuel surcharge (DMT). Just like the fuel surcharge, the current Eco surcharge rate is always available on our website.
